Diagnosis

What the evidence shows

What the evidence says about how you lead with AI, in prose.

Your ATLI is 1.9 (range 1.7 to 2.1) at high confidence. The profile reads as early-stage across both the AI-judgement and the organisational-translation dimensions. This is a developmental result rather than a competence judgement: it describes where the evidence sits today against a framework calibrated to senior leadership of organisations in active AI transformation, not against general executive capability. The development priorities below are ordered by likely impact on near-term effectiveness, and the structural priority is to anchor personal AI fluency first because the organisational change-leadership work compounds substantially faster once that foundation exists.

The Judgement dimension reads as early-stage. Personal hands-on AI use (level 1) is sponsorship-only or absent; calibrated trust (level 2) is at the stated-posture level without verification examples from personal practice; fit judgement (level 1) is generic; agentic supervision (level 1) is absent. In aggregate this signals that decisions about AI in your scope of authority are being made one or two layers removed from contact with the technology itself, which is the highest-impact gap to close. The mechanism for closing it is direct: daily AI use across two or three workflows over the next quarter, with attention to verification and iteration.

The Translation dimension is similarly early-stage. Workflow redesign and change architecture at level 2; empathic mobilisation at level 1; governance, safety and regulatory architecture at level 2; systems integration at level 1; operational execution and embedding at level 2 indicates that the change-leadership behaviours specific to AI transformation have not yet developed in your practice. The structural choice here is to delay primary attention on Translation by one quarter and use that interval to build the Judgement foundation; the Translation work then has materials to draw on. The Endurance and Stability dimensions show normal executive capability and are not the bottleneck.

Coverage

What this did not measure

Which parts of the framework this assessment measured directly, and which rest on your own account.

This assessment covers 11 of the framework's 15 sub-dimensions (tolerance for ambiguity, emotional regulation, decisive action under uncertainty and agentic supervision and orchestration are not yet directly assessed).

Profile

What your profile shows

Each dimension in turn: the headline reading and the evidence behind it.
Judgement
Judgement is the structural priority. Personal AI fluency is the foundation that the rest of the profile depends on.

Hands-on use (level 1) shows AI described through delegation, briefings, or sponsorship without personal artefacts or specific recent outputs. Calibrated trust (level 2) is at the stated-habit level (you say you check what AI produces) without a verification example from your own practice or a recognised hallucination from your own experience. Fit judgement (level 1) is generic about where AI works. Agentic supervision (level 1) is absent.

The leverage here is high and the path is direct. Adding two or three workflows where you personally use AI daily over the next quarter, with attention to what worked, what failed, what you would do differently, would substantially shift depth of hands-on use, and calibrated trust and probabilistic reasoning within a quarter and create the calibration foundation that the rest of the profile will draw on.

Translation
Translation is early-stage. Delay primary attention on this dimension by one quarter while the Judgement foundation is built.

Workflow redesign (level 2), empathic mobilisation (level 1), governance architecture (level 2), systems integration (level 1), operational execution (level 2) all sit at level 1 or level 2. This means that the AI-specific change-leadership behaviours (designing decision rights for autonomous systems, sequencing AI deployments for ripple effects, building non-deterministic performance metrics) have not yet developed in your practice.

The structural choice is to delay primary attention on this dimension while the Judgement work above is underway. The Translation work then has materials to draw on. The order of operations matters: change-leadership without personal fluency tends to produce a translation-led pattern, which is a different and more costly failure mode than the present early-development pattern.

Endurance
Endurance is mid-range. Strategic patience reads as competent, with tolerance for ambiguity and learning velocity at level 2.

Strategic patience (level 3) shows a defended transformation investment with reasoning beyond sunk cost. Tolerance for ambiguity (level 2) shows operation when information is incomplete but coping rather than the structured-decision-with-revision-trigger discipline that anchors level 3. Learning velocity (level 2) shows a learning posture and reading practice without specific updated beliefs named.

This dimension is not the bottleneck and does not need primary attention in the next two quarters. As the Judgement work above accumulates evidence and the Translation work begins, the natural lift on Endurance will follow through normal practice.

Stability
Stability shows normal executive capability across the three sub-dimensions.

Emotional regulation (level 3), status security (level 3), decisive action (level 3) all sit at level 3. You maintain composure under typical pressure, admit not-knowing where the cost of doing so is moderate, and act before complete information is available. This dimension reads as solid and is not contributing to the early-stage result on the composite.

The structural pattern here is that Stability tends to anchor competent executive practice across many contexts, and that is what the evidence shows here. The Judgement and Translation work above is where the development effort should focus.

Strengths and priorities

Strengths and priorities

The sub-dimensions where the evidence is densest, and where further investment compounds most.
Strengths
  • Strategic patience and value reasoning under uncertainty · Defends investment through the J-curve; constructs investment cases when value is genuinely uncertain.
  • Decisive action under uncertainty · Acts before complete information is available; distinguishes prudent governance from disguised indecision.
Development priorities
  • Depth of hands-on use · Frequency, range, and duration of personal AI engagement.
  • Fit judgement · Pattern recognition for where AI succeeds and where it does not.
  • Empathic mobilisation · Reads organisational political/emotional state; mobilises through change; builds commitment over compliance.

How to use this report with your sponsor or coach.
  1. Discuss this profile with your sponsor and any executive coach you work with. The development priorities are ordered by likely impact, not by ease of execution.
  2. Consider whether a full ATLI assessment (Stage 2 + Stage 3 + Hogan integration) would be useful before any shortlist or appointment decision. This Part 1 view is indicative.
  3. For the development priorities flagged above, suggested resources and a 90-day development plan are available from your sponsor.
Glossary

What the dimensions mean

What each of the four dimensions measures.
Judgement
Judgement combines how deeply you use AI yourself, how well you calibrate trust in AI outputs, and how accurately you predict where AI will deliver value.
Translation
Translation is your capacity to redesign workflows, mobilise teams, design governance, anticipate cross-functional effects, and embed AI into operational discipline.
Endurance
Endurance is your value-reasoning under uncertainty, tolerance for ambiguity, and speed of belief-updating as new evidence arrives.
Stability
Stability is emotional regulation under pressure, security in being visibly inexpert, and decisiveness when information is incomplete.
